PIERCE - Adolph C. Anderson, 72, a retired logger and a Pierce resident since 1975, died Monday of natural causes.
     
He was born Dec. 10, 1906, at Wilton, Minn., to Henry and Helen Anderson and grew up in the Wilton-Bemidji area of Minnesota.
     
He married the former Ruth Aldrich in 1935. They were divorced.
     
Anderson farmed in Minnesota before moving to western Montana in 1949. He logged there before moving to Idaho in 1960.
     
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Tavalero of Spokane; three brothers, Reuben of Orofino and Norman and Henning of Bemidji, Minn.; three sisters, Esther Stapleton of North Dakota, Lyla Djonne of Wilton, Minn., and Minnie Sunde of Bemidji, and one grandchild.
     
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gilbert's Funeral Chapel at Orofino. The Rev. Obert Landsverk of the Ascension Lutheran Church of Orofino will officiate. Cremation will follow.
     
Memorials were suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Luther Haven Camp at Coeur d'Alene.
